Joel breaks down some tips on how to prevent yourself from getting razor bumps after trimming up your beard or going in for a shave. The thing that will help out most is to improve your health – so that means drink plenty of water, eat right, and exercise. From there you’ll want to avoid alcohol based products and instead use astringent or witch hazel.
Joel had good luck switching from a straight razor to an electric razor; but the increased water intake could be a big part of that. Cleanliness is another big aspect to avoiding razor bumps. Try to keep your hands away from your face which collects all the random dirt and bacteria around it, and speaking of hands – be sure to wash your hands regularly.
With these simple tips you should start to see your razor bump issue starting to subside.
